Vodafone Idea (Vi) has rolled out new enhancements for its Max Family postpaid subscribers.
This plan, introduced in November last year, offers various data packages priced from Rs 601 to Rs 1,151. It allows users to connect with up to four other family members.
Data Sharing and Unlimited Night Data
The latest feature enables users to bolster their current data plans with extra data ranging from 10 GB to 25 GB.
Vi has made it possible for both primary and secondary family members to share this additional data.
Unlimited Night Data Benefit
Vi is now offering its Max Family postpaid users unlimited data during the night, from 12 midnight to 6 am.
This means users can seamlessly stream and download high-quality content during these hours.
Attracting New Postpaid Users
Vi is gearing up to make its services more appealing to corporate and private number users, anticipating a 12 percent increase in postpaid users this fiscal year. This may involve higher prices for additional perks.
Financial Obligations and Recent Initiatives
Vi faces a payment of approximately Rs 1,680 crore to the telecom department for spectrum auctions.
They have recently requested a 30-day extension for this payment. Vi had previously introduced the “Choice” feature for Max postpaid users, allowing them to customize their plan benefits.
Additionally, Vi has partnered with Truecaller to shield users from scam calls.
5G Services Expansion and Government Support
Telecom companies have urged the central government to reserve available spectrum in the 6 GHz band for high-speed mobile data services, aiming to deliver speeds ranging from 50 to 100 mbps.
5G services have already been extended to most districts across the country, with the government touting it as one of the fastest-growing networks globally.
