Limited Time Offer Free Aadhaar Card Updates, Fees Incoming

An Aadhaar Card is really important. You need it to buy a train ticket or apply for government help. If you haven’t updated your Aadhaar card in 10 years, do it soon.

To update it, you usually pay Rs 50 at an Aadhaar center or online. But until March 14, 2024, it’s free online.

How to update:

  1. Go to UIDAI’s website.
  2. Enter your Aadhaar number and OTP.
  3. Click on “Document Update” and choose “Verify.”
  4. Upload ID and address proofs.
  5. Get a request number.
  6. Check your update status with this number.
  7. Your Aadhaar card will update soon.

What you can update online:

You can update your name, address, mobile number, and email online. But for fingerprints or eye scans, go to an Aadhaar center.

Pay at the Aadhaar center:

You can update free online till March 14, 2024. After that, you’ll pay at the center. It’s Rs 50 per update, so if you update both name and mobile, it’s Rs 100.

Even after March 14, online updates will cost money.
