BSNL has some new offers for its customers. If you switch your old SIM card to a new 4G one, you’ll get 4GB of free data until March 31, 2024.
This offer won’t last long, so it’s a good idea to take advantage of it soon.
The upgrade to a 4G SIM won’t cost you anything extra. Just remember, this offer is only available until the end of March.
BSNL is also expanding its 4G services. They’ve set up around 3500 4G sites in several states, including Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh.
In Tamil Nadu, they’ll start setting up the 4G sites after April 2024.
BSNL plans to upgrade about 1 lakh sites across India to 4G with the help of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Tejas Networks, and C-DOT.
In Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, BSNL is building over 4200 4G sites. These sites can later be upgraded to 5G without needing new devices, as the government has already set aside 5G spectrum for BSNL.
BSNL has also extended the validity of some of its prepaid plans.
The Rs 699 plan now lasts for 150 days instead of 130 days, and the Rs 999 plan lasts for 215 days instead of 200 days.
In the Rs 699 plan, you’ll get 0.5GB of data daily, unlimited calling, and 100 SMS daily for the full 150 days.
The Rs 999 plan offers unlimited calling for 215 days and PRBT for two months, but no data or SMS benefits.
