BSNL Offers 4GB Free Data with 4G SIM Upgrade

BSNL recently surprised its customers by extending the validity of two prepaid plans.

Now, they’ve introduced another exciting offer for their customers. BSNL is offering customers 4GB of free data until March 31, 2024.

While this offer isn’t new, it’s ending soon, so you should take advantage of it as soon as possible.

BSNL is providing 4GB of free data to customers who upgrade their 2G/3G SIM card to a 4G SIM.

Customers won’t need to spend extra for the upgrade. Those who upgrade will qualify to receive 4GB of free data from the company.

BSNL Karnataka announced on social media that the offer’s deadline is March 31, 2024.

By upgrading your old network SIM to a BSNL 4G SIM, you can access the bonus data provided by the company.

BSNL’s 4G service is about to start

Online reports have indicated that BSNL has set up approximately 3500 4G sites in key northern states of India, such as Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh.

In addition to the northern states, this list also encompasses some southern states of India, including Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh.

BSNL’s rollout of 4G sites in Tamil Nadu is set to commence after April 2024.

The company’s plan is to upgrade approximately 1 lakh sites nationwide to 4G, facilitated by a consortium led by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS).

This consortium also involves Tejas Networks, which will provide the necessary equipment, and C-DOT (Centre for Development of Telematics).

BSNL is currently constructing over 4200 4G sites in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Interestingly, BSNL’s 4G sites can be upgraded to 5G without needing any device changes.

The central government has already allocated 5G spectrum for BSNL, which means the company will be able to roll out 5G non-standalone (NSA) in India as soon as the sites are ready.
