If Aadhaar was issued 10 years ago then update it
Aadhaar is a special 12-digit number that identifies each person. It holds details about people’s physical features and where they live in India.
Because of this, it’s not possible for someone to make up a false identity. Nobody else has the same physical details as you, so Aadhaar is really important.
Thanks to Aadhaar, fake identities aren’t a problem anymore in our country.
If your Aadhaar was made 10 years ago or earlier, UIDAI needs to check your ID card and address proof again.
This way, they can update your correct details and make services even better.
To update your Aadhaar online, follow these steps:
1. Visit the website https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/.
2. Log in using your Aadhaar number and OTP.
3. Check if your identity and address details are correct.
4. If everything is correct, click on Verify.
5. If any information is incorrect, choose to upload a new identity card and submit it.
6. Similarly, select the document for address proof and upload it.
