WhatsApp Introduces Handy Shortcut for Accessing Photo Library

WhatsApp has added lots of new stuff lately. Recently, there’s been news about many fresh updates for WhatsApp.

Some are already available, while others are still in testing. Now, there’s another new update to talk about.

According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp has a new shortcut for accessing your phone’s photo library. This update is starting to roll out now.

WABetaInfo shared a screenshot showing the new shortcut. With this, you can easily access your photos.

Users can get to their photo library by pressing and holding the ‘+’ icon on the left side of the chat bar.

If you haven’t got this update yet, don’t worry. It’s being released gradually and will reach all devices soon.

This feature is currently available for WhatsApp for iOS version 24.7.75. It’s expected to come to Android devices soon too.

There’s also a new notification feature coming for status updates. WABetaInfo has shared details about this feature too.

It’s seen in the WhatsApp Beta for Android version 2.24.8.13. This feature might be a part of another upcoming feature called Status Tag.

This feature allows users to privately tag their contacts in status updates, similar to Instagram mentions.

These new features are still being tested, but the company might release the stable version in a few weeks.
