Truecaller web version launched in India
Truecaller has been letting people search for unknown numbers on its website for a while, but there’s a limit. This means users could only search for a few numbers before.
With the new web version of Truecaller, people can find details about as many numbers as they need, even if they use Truecaller on a laptop.
In the web version, users will see alerts for incoming calls and messages on their desktop.
They can see these alerts even if their phone is not nearby. Users can also read and reply to messages.
Messages are sorted into three categories: Inbox, Promotions, and Spam, using Truecaller’s smart SMS filtering, just like in the app.
Android users will get the facility
The web version of Truecaller is like using Microsoft’s Phone Link. Initially, it’s only for Android users in India, but it will later be available for iOS users too.
However, Truecaller hasn’t said when iPhone users can use the web version.
