Tata Group may soon launch Exclusive Apple Store in India

New Delhi:

Tata Group may soon open an exclusive Apple Store in India. This information has been received in a report of ET.

According to the report, the iPhone maker will tie up with Tata’s Infinity Retail, which runs the Croma Store chain, for this.

Infinity Retail will become Apple’s franchisee partner and is planning to open 100 outlets of 500-600 square feet in malls, high streets, and surrounding areas.

A retail consultant aware of this said that Tata had started talks with premium malls and high streets for space.

He added that the lease terms include details of brands and stores that cannot be opened near the outlet. This is similar to the terms that Apple insists on.

The Tata-Apple partnership comes when the company’s first flagship store is about to open in Mumbai in the March quarter.

Apple Premium Reseller outlets, typically 1000 square feet, will be larger than Apple’s Authorized Reseller.

Most smaller stores sell iPhones, iPads, and watches, while premium outlets sell Apple’s entire lineup of products, including MacBooks.

Let us tell you that at present, Apple has about 160 premium reseller stores.
