New Swift Model Replaces Old Version on Maruti Suzuki Website

Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has replaced the current model of Swift on its official website with booking details for the New Generation Swift, set to launch on May 9. The company has commenced sending out media invites for the event.

Transition Period for Old Swift

Despite the update, the prices of the old Swift are still listed on the website, starting at Rs 6.24 lakh ex-showroom.

It’s anticipated that MSIL will continue selling the old Swift until its existing stock is depleted.

The previous month saw a notable change in Swift’s sales performance, with the car dropping out of the top-10 best-selling cars list for April. In March 2024, Swift held the fifth position with 15,728 units sold.

Booking Details and Expected Pricing

Bookings for the New Gen Swift have already begun, requiring a token amount of Rs 11,000, payable online or offline. Speculations suggest that the starting price for the new model could range from Rs 6 lakh to 6.25 lakh.

Features and Specifications of Base Trim

The 2024 Swift boasts a sturdy body structure with several enhancements, including LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) at the front and rear, projector headlamps, and black door handles.

The base model, LXI, is equipped with power windows, manual AC, internally adjustable mirrors, tilt steering, a 12V front power socket, and adjustable front headrests.

Exterior features include black outside mirrors, black outside door handles, body-colored bumpers, a glossy black grille, LED tail lamps, and 14-inch steel wheels, along with basic Multi-Information Display (MID) functionality.

Safety Enhancements

The LXI variant of the new Swift comes with advanced safety features, such as Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill Start Assist (HSA), a new rear defogger, remote central locking, two front side thorax airbags, two curtain airbags,

and halogen projector headlamps. Additionally, it includes day/night mirrors inside, with an expected ex-showroom price of around Rs 6.5 lakh.
