Microsoft Unveils Free Chat GPT Feature in Copilot AI Chatbot

In a surprising move, Microsoft has made the Chat GPT feature in its Copilot AI chatbot available to users for free.

Now, users of Copilot can harness the power of GPTs without any additional cost.

The exciting part is that this service is not confined to Microsoft Edge; even Chrome users can benefit from it, and there’s no need for a Microsoft account login.

Free Access to Basic GPTs Across Browsers

Unlike the subscription-based Chat GPT Plus, priced at Rs 1,662 in India, which is required to access GPTs in Open AI’s Chat GPT, Microsoft is currently offering some basic GPTs for free.

Copilot GPT in Google Chrome

According to a recent report on Windows Latest, Copilot GPT is functional in Google Chrome, though with limited functionality.

Users are currently restricted to models related to fitness, cooking, or design.

Task-Optimized GPTs by Microsoft

Microsoft has fine-tuned its GPTs for specific tasks compared to the general version of Copilot.

For instance, opting for Microsoft Designer GPT allows users to create more imaginative images using Open AI’s DALL-E 3, a feature not available in the regular version.

Current Free GPT Offerings

Presently, users can enjoy free access to five GPTs: Designer, Vacation Planner, Cooking Assistant, and Fitness Trainer. Microsoft plans to introduce more GPTs in the coming weeks.

Limited Free GPT Access

As of now, only a select group of users have access to the free GPTs, but Microsoft intends to roll it out to a wider audience gradually.

Those who receive the update can navigate to the Copilot page and utilize the GPTs from the visible option on the right side.
