Google announces Plans to Discontinue its Pixel 6a Phone

Google is getting ready to release its new phone, the Google Pixel 8a. It might be announced at Google’s event on May 14.

But before it’s even out, Google has said they won’t be selling it for long.

A report from Droid Life says that Google took down the Pixel 6a from their online shop. Now, if you try to find it, you’ll end up looking at the Pixel 7a instead.

This means Google won’t be selling the Pixel 6a anymore. So, the Pixel 7a will be the only ‘A’ series phone they have.

Here’s what we might expect from the Pixel 8a

It could have a screen resolution of 2400×1080 pixels, a smooth refresh rate of 120Hz, and a 6.1-inch Full HD+ OLED display.

Inside, it might run on Google’s latest Tensor G3 processor, just like the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. It could come with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage.

The camera might be similar to the Pixel 7. It could have a main camera with 64 megapixels and an ultra-wide camera with 50 megapixels, both made by Sony.

And on the front, there could be a 13 megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.
