The Election Commission (EC) has shared the schedule for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. They will happen in seven phases across the country.
Before the elections, the government is helping people to join the voter list. Now, adding your name to the voter list is simple. If you’re 18 or older, you can do it from home. Here’s how:
- Go to https://voters.eci.gov.in/ and click on “form 6” on the left.
- Make your ID with your mobile number and log in.
- Click on “Form 6” again after logging in.
- Choose your state, district, and city. Fill in your details like mobile number, address, and assembly constituency.
- Then, enter your Voter ID number and your parents’ names.
- Add your Aadhar number, date of birth, and upload photos of your Aadhar card and birth certificate.
- Finally, enter the captcha code and submit the form.
Your voter card will reach your home in about a month. After submitting the form, you’ll get a receipt number. You can use it to check your form’s status after a week. If your form is rejected, you’ll know through this number.
