Understanding SmartDelay: How It Works
Visa’s SmartDelay service offers airport lounge access during flight delays.
To utilize this service, travelers must register their flights before departure.
If the airline announces a significant delay, they will receive a LoungeKey™, granting access to a vast network of over 1,000 airport lounges worldwide.
This service extends to the primary passenger and up to four additional passengers on the same flight, with their names duly registered.
Eligibility for Lounge Access
Travelers can qualify for a lounge voucher under the following conditions:
1) Flight registration must occur at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure.
2) Lounge access is available only when the airline officially announces a flight delay.
3) Delayed passengers gain access to a lounge within their airport terminal, as part of the LoungeKey network.
