Quickly take advantage of THESE free Facilities being Provided by Aadhaar

Aadhaar card holders have the opportunity to update their Aadhaar information for free within the next 8 days.

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has announced that there will be no charges for citizens who wish to update their documents online.

This initiative is part of the Digital India project and can be accessed through the myAadhaar portal.

According to a recent tweet by UIDAI, residents can upload their Proof of Identity and Proof of Address documents online at https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in from March 15 to June 14, 2023.

During this time frame, the myAadhaar portal will provide the free service. However, if individuals choose to visit a shop or Aadhaar center for updates, they will still need to pay a fee of Rs 50.

UIDAI strongly encourages residents, especially those whose Aadhaar card was issued 10 years ago and hasn’t been updated since, to upload their Proof of Identity and Proof of Address (PoI/PoA) documents for re-verification.

This step aims to improve the success rate of certifications, enhance service delivery, and make life easier for residents.

To update their demographic information such as name, address, and date of birth for free, residents can follow these steps:

  1. Visit https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/.
  2. Select the ‘Document Update’ option to view your existing details.
  3. Verify the details and proceed by clicking on the provided link.
  4. Choose the required Proof of Identity and Proof of Address documents from the dropdown list.
  5. Upload the scanned copies of the documents and proceed with the process.

By offering free Aadhaar card updates, UIDAI aims to simplify the process for residents and ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
