Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi is gearing up to launch its highly anticipated foldable smartphone, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3, next month.
This device is expected to succeed the previously released Xiaomi Mix Fold 2. Several specifications of the Mix Fold 3 have been leaked, adding to the excitement surrounding its upcoming debut.
Announcement by Xiaomi President, Lu Weibing
Xiaomi President Lu Weibing recently took to the Chinese messaging platform Weibo to announce the upcoming launch of the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 next month.
Notably, tipster Ice Universe (@UniverseIce) had earlier hinted at the imminent arrival of this book-styled smartphone.
However, it is suggested that the device may be exclusively available for purchase in China, without a planned international release.
Leaked Specifications of Xiaomi Mix Fold 3
Early reports have provided insights into some key specifications of the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3. One standout feature is its lightweight and slim design.
While the Mix Fold 2 had a thickness of 11.2 mm when folded, the new foldable smartphone is expected to introduce a waterdrop hinge that enhances durability against accidental drops.
It may come in a white curved frame design and feature Leica-tuned cameras, including two June lenses. The selfie camera could be placed beneath the display.
In terms of display, the outer panel is rumored to measure 6.5 inches, while the internal display could offer an 8.02-inch Full HD+ (2,400 x 1,080 pixels) resolution.
The device is speculated to boast 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and offer up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage. Powering the device might be the Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.
The Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 is expected to house a 4,800 mAh battery, supporting 120 W wired charging and 50 W wireless charging.

In a recent release, Xiaomi unveiled the Xiaomi Civi 3, featuring a dual selfie camera setup and powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC.
The device boasts a 6.55-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a 2,400 x 1,080-pixel resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
It offers up to 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. The triple rear camera setup comprises a 50-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 2-megapixel sensor.
