Uttarakhand to soon receive New High-Speed Vande Bharat Trains (See Details)

In a significant development, Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced the Vande Bharat train to the states of Odisha and West Bengal.

Ambitious Goal to Connect Every State

Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav shared that preparations are underway for production across various factories, including the Integrated Coach Factory (ICF).

Efforts are being made to establish a robust supply chain and improve engineering capabilities within the factories.

The primary objective is to ensure that every state is connected through the Vande Bharat train network.

An average target of producing two train sets every eight days has been set.

It is worth mentioning that the Department of Telecom has allocated Rs 5,600 crore to enhance connectivity in Odisha.

Prospects of Vande Bharat Train for Dehradun

The Railway Minister also disclosed plans to introduce the Vande Bharat train to Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand.

Subsequently, a trial run will be conducted in Guwahati. Ashwini Vaishnav stated that the second Vande Bharat Express in Odisha

may operate along the Puri-Bhubaneswar-Cuttack-Angul-Rourkela route.

Furthermore, a proposal is in place to launch the Vande Metro in Puri-Bhubaneswar-Cuttack by January-February next year.

The minister expressed intentions to request Prime Minister Narendra Modi for additional Vande Bharat trains and Vande Metro for Odisha.

Successful Trial Run on Mumbai-Goa Route

Recently, a trial run of the Vande Bharat Express on the Mumbai-Goa route was conducted.

With the capability to reach speeds of 180 kmph, the train departed from Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj

Terminal (CSMT) at 5:30 am and arrived at Goa’s Madgaon station at 12:50 am.

Subsequently, it departed Madgaon at approximately 1:15 am. Notably, three Vande Bharat Express trains are already operational between Mumbai and Ahmedabad, Solapur, and Shirdi.
