The Holi festival starts next week, and it’s important to finish your financial tasks by March 31st.
If you don’t, you might have some trouble. Banks will be closed for six days during Holi, according to information from the Reserve Bank.
This year, Holi falls on March 25th, and all banks will be closed nationwide. Additionally, banks will also be closed for the fourth Saturday and Sunday.
Why are banks closed for six days?
March 22nd, 2024: Banks in Patna are closed for Bihar Day.
March 23rd, 2024: Banks are closed for the fourth Saturday.
March 24th, 2024: Banks are closed for Sunday.
March 25th, 2024: Banks are closed for Holi, except in some cities.
March 26th, 2024: Banks are closed for Holi or Yaosang Day in some cities.
March 27th, 2024: Banks in Patna are closed for Holi.
As per the Reserve Bank’s calendar, banks will be closed for six consecutive days. On Holi 2024, banks in many cities will be closed.

March 29th, 2024 (Friday): Good Friday, banks closed except in certain states.
March 30th, 2024: Banks closed for the fourth Saturday.
March 31st, 2024: Banks closed for Sunday.
