Tata Motors introduced a new version of the Altroz hatchback in May 2023. This one runs on CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) and has a special twin-cylinder CNG technology.
What’s interesting is that it’s the first CNG-powered small car with a sunroof.
Right now, you can buy it for a price starting from Rs 7.55 lakh up to Rs 10.55 lakh (excluding taxes and fees).
Tata Motors Altroz

The Tiago CNG is priced between Rs 6.55 lakh to Rs 8.20 lakh, while the Tigor CNG costs between Rs 7.80 lakh to Rs 8.95 lakh (excluding taxes).
Tata Punch CNG
The Tata Punch model has five CNG variants: Pure, Adventure, Adventure Rhythm, Accomplished, and Accomplished Dazzle S.
Their prices are Rs 7.10 lakh, Rs 7.85 lakh, Rs 8.20 lakh, Rs 8.85 lakh, and Rs 9.68 lakh respectively (excluding taxes).
Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG
Maruti Suzuki offers the Brezza, the first compact SUV with a CNG option.
The Brezza CNG is priced between Rs 9.24 lakh to Rs 12.15 lakh (excluding taxes) and provides a mileage of 25.52 km/kg.
Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara CNG
Lastly, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara also comes in a CNG variant, with a price ranging from Rs 13.05 lakh to Rs 14.86 lakh (excluding taxes). The Grand Vitara CNG gives a mileage of 26.6 km/kg.
