Maruti’s New Jimny Thunder Edition Now available at Rs 2 lakh Cheaper

Maruti Suzuki introduced the Jimny in May this year, starting at a price of Rs 12.74 lakh (excluding showroom charges).

Initially, it seemed like customers were interested, but now it appears that the overall feedback is not as positive, mainly because many find the 5-door Jimny too expensive.

To address this, the company has recently launched a more affordable version called the Jimny Thunder Edition.

However, it’s important to note that this model is available for a limited time.

The prices for the Jimny Thunder Edition range from Rs 10.74 lakh to Rs 14.05 lakh (excluding showroom charges).

This special edition is offered across all four variants of the Jimny lineup and will be available for purchase only in December 2023.

Compared to the regular Jimny’s starting price, the Thunder Edition is Rs 2 lakh cheaper.

The Jimny Thunder Edition features unique body decals and silver accents on the front bumper, side door cladding, door visor, ORVMs, hood, and front/side fenders.

The interior is enhanced with a styling kit that includes separate floor mats for manual and automatic variants, along with a tan-finished steering wheel.

While the cabin layout remains the same as the regular Jimny, the Thunder Edition includes notable features such as a 9-inch touchscreen, cruise control, auto climate control, electronic stability program (ESP), reverse parking camera, and six airbags.

In terms of powertrain, the Jimny Thunder Edition retains the same specifications, featuring a 1.5-litre K15B naturally aspirated petrol engine with 104 bhp and 134 Nm of torque.

This engine can be paired with a 5-speed manual or 4-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. All variants are equipped with a 4×4 drivetrain with a low-range gearbox.
