Exciting news for the residents of Delhi as another stunning destination, Timarpur Lake, is set to open its doors to the public.
Starting from July, people will have the opportunity to indulge in the serene beauty of this lake complex, offering a plethora of natural delights and modern amenities.
The much-anticipated unveiling of Timarpur Lake is scheduled to take place at the end of July. With the completion of 90% of the initial phase,
the Delhi Jal Board Vice Chairman, Somnath Bharti, conducted an inspection of the lake project on Wednesday.
He shared that the complex would be developed into a remarkable tourist spot, catering to the interests of visitors.
The Timarpur Lake complex will provide numerous facilities for visitors to enjoy. Alongside the picturesque views, people will have access to a food café and an open-air theater within the lake premises.
This ambitious project holds great significance in Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s vision of transforming Delhi into a city of lakes. During his inspection,
Bharti also visited the RO plant at Shakurbasti, which has been established by the Jal Board to supply clean water to slum dwellers.
It is worth mentioning that the rejuvenation of lakes is a key focus of the Delhi government’s grand plan to transform the city into a haven of lakes.
The initiative encompasses the revival of dried-up lakes and the establishment of new ones.
In terms of visiting Timarpur Lake, the ticket prices start at a mere ₹20, ensuring that people from all walks of life can enter.
Moreover, visitors will be greeted with several captivating tourist attractions upon entry. Separate tickets will be required for those interested in boating on the lake.
