Save Big Maruti’s New WagonR Runs Cheaper Than Petrol and CNG

Maruti Suzuki has introduced a flexible fuel option for its popular car, WagonR, at the 2024 Bharat Mobility Expo.

This special WagonR, called the WagonR Flex Fuel, was first revealed at the Delhi 2023 Auto Expo and is expected to hit the roads by the end of the next year.

This car is the first of its kind in India to use flex-fuel technology, which means it can run on a mix of ethanol and petrol, reducing harmful emissions.

While the outside appearance of the new car looks similar to the regular WagonR, you can easily notice the ‘flex-fuel’ decals.

Now, let’s talk about the engine. The WagonR Flex Fuel will feature a 1.2-litre four-cylinder engine, producing 88.5bhp power and 113Nm torque.

It comes with a standard five-speed manual transmission.

The unique feature is that this engine is designed to run on a mix of ethanol and petrol, making it environmentally friendly.

It’s expected to perform similarly to the regular gasoline-powered WagonR.

The WagonR Flex Fuel is anticipated to be available for purchase around 2025, and its price might be slightly higher than the standard version.

This car will mark a significant step as the first mass-market flex-fuel car in India, offering a more sustainable and eco-friendly driving option.
