With the ongoing developments in the field of the railway sector in India,’ Vande Bharat Express’ has achieved massive success.
It is an initiative of Make in India under the Government of India. Formerly called Train 18, the sixth Vande Bharat Express was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 12, 2022.
It will run from Nagpur to Bilaspur.
The premium and prestigious train is the beginning of a new generation of trains in India.
It is a semi-high-speed train that covers the distance from one place to another in a short span of time.
The airplane provides exclusive travel for the passengers with a wonderful experience.
The facilities provided by the train include automatic doors, a GPS system, and WiFi. And the executive class has a 360-degree rotating chair for its passengers.
TICKET PRICE
The price for an AC chair for the Vande Bharat express that travels from Nagpur to Bilaspur is Rs 1,075. The cost for the executive class is Rs 2,045. The trip includes optional meals.
TIMINGS
The journey between Nagpur and Bilaspur lasts five and a half hours. the time got reduced by 1.5 hours, which used to take 7 hours of travel earlier to complete the entire journey.
STOPPAGES
The stoppages include Raipur, Durg, and Gondia. The departure from Bilaspur is around 6:45 am and reaches Nagpur at 12:15 pm. The train leaves Nagpur around 2 pm and gets to Bilaspur by 7:35 pm.
TRAIN SPEED
The speed at which the train travels covers the journey starts from 130 km/hour to 160 km/hour with some premium facilities available to the passengers. The distance covered is 412 km.

Now India has a total number of six Vande Bharat Express trains running across the country.
They are as follows:
- Bilaspur-Nagpur
- Delhi-Varanasi
- Delhi-Shri Vaishno Devi Mata Katra
- Gandhinagar to Mumbai
- New Delhi to Andaura station
- Chennai-Mysuru.
