PM Modi to Launch Two New Vande Bharat Trains on June 27 (See route)

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Madhya Pradesh on June 27, where he will inaugurate two new Vande Bharat trains.

The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, confirmed the Prime Minister’s visit and announced that the inauguration ceremony will take place in the capital city of Bhopal.

The new trains will operate on the Bhopal-Indore and Bhopal-Jabalpur routes, offering improved connectivity and modern amenities to passengers.

PM Modi’s Itinerary Includes Key Programs and Events

During his visit to Madhya Pradesh, PM Modi will also participate in several other significant programs.

On June 27, he will attend the Veerangana Rani Durgavati Sacrifice Day program and the concluding event of the Veerangana Rani Durgavati Gaurav Yatra in Shahdol.

These events commemorate the heroic sacrifice of Veerangana Rani Durgavati, a renowned historical figure.

Additionally, Home Minister Amit Shah will inaugurate the Veerangana Rani Durgavati Gaurav Yatra on June 22, which will commence from different zones of the state.

 Expansion of Vande Bharat Train Network

With the introduction of the two new Vande Bharat trains in Madhya Pradesh, the total count of Vande Bharat trains in operation across the country will rise to 23 by the end of June.

Currently, 18 Vande Bharat trains are serving various routes, providing passengers with enhanced travel experiences.

Furthermore, the Mumbai-Goa Vande Bharat Express, which was temporarily postponed after the Balasore accident, is also scheduled to be flagged off soon.

The Indian Railways plans to add three more Vande Bharat trains to its fleet in the near future.

Vande Bharat Trains to Expand to Karnataka and Bihar

Apart from Madhya Pradesh, the Indian Railways has plans to introduce semi high-speed trains in Karnataka. Additionally, Bihar is set to receive its first Vande Bharat train, connecting Patna and Ranchi.

The train is expected to make stops at Gaya, Koderma, Hazaribagh Road, Parasnath, and Bokaro Steel City, covering a distance of approximately 410 km.

These expansions aim to enhance connectivity and provide efficient transportation options to passengers in these regions.
