PM Modi releases 1st Installment to one lakh beneficiaries of PMAY-G

On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave money to one lakh people as part of a special plan called the Prime Minister Tribal Justice Maha Abhiyan.

This is to help people who live in rural areas and don’t have their own homes.

The Prime Minister did this through a video call. During this event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also talked with the people who received help from PM-Janman.

Following the Prime Minister’s goal to help the very last person in need, PM-Janman started on November 15, 2023.

This program is designed to support the socio-economic well-being of vulnerable tribal groups.

PM-Janman, with a budget of about Rs 24,000 crore, wants to make life better for a specific group of people.

They plan to do this by focusing on 11 important actions through 9 government departments.

The aim is to improve the living conditions of these people by providing basic things like safe homes, clean water, and better access to sanitation, education, health, and jobs.

What is PM Awas Yojana for rural areas?

The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) is a plan to make sure everyone in rural areas has a home by 2022, as promised by the government.

The goal is to give a proper house with basic facilities to people who currently don’t have a strong and safe home, and are living in makeshift or rundown houses.

Who is eligible for PM Awas Yojana Gramin?

People who get help from PMAY-G are chosen using information from SECC, and the local village councils (Gram Sabhas) make sure it’s accurate.

If you used to work without pay (bonded labor) and are now free, you can also get help from PMAY Gramin.

Families who don’t have their own house or live in houses made of mud with no solid walls or roof can also get assistance from this program.

What is the main objective of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana?

PMAY stands for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, and it started in June 2015. Its aim is to support the idea of ‘Housing for All.’

The government plans to build 2 crore houses by 2024 for people living in cities and villages all across India.
