You can easily check whether money is being deposited in your PF account or not. You can know through a missed call.

There are two conditions for this, the mobile number should be activated with the UAN on the EPFO portal,

and the other should be KYC of the UAN with either the bank account number, Aadhaar or PAN number.

After this, the registered member on the UAN portal can find his balance by giving a missed call.

Know balance by calling these numbers

Give a missed call on 011-22901406 from your registered mobile number. This call will be automatically disconnected after two rings.

No money will be taken for this. After giving a missed call, EPFO will send an SMS to your mobile containing information about your PF account balance.

Check like this by SMS

1. Send SMS EPFOHO UAN ENG to 7738299899 from your mobile number.

2. The last three characters written in the SMS indicate your preferred language. In this, ENG means English.

You can choose from 10 languages: English, Hindi, Tamil, Marathi, Bengali, Kannada, Punjabi, Telugu, Malayalam and Gujarati.

3. In this, HIN for Hindi, PUN for Punjabi, GUJ for Gujarati, MAR for Marathi, KAN for Kannada, TEL for Telugu, TAM for Tamil, MAL for Malayalam and BEN for Bengali have to be sent.

4. The SMS must be sent from the same mobile number registered with the Universal Account Number (UAN).

5. EPFO will send your last PF contribution, balance details and KYC details available through an SMS on your mobile number.

Check balance like this through the Umang app.

The mobile app UMANG provides a wide range of services. You can check your EPF balance on the UMANG app by logging in using your UAN and OTP and getting your PF passbook.

How to check EPF balance with the Umang app

  1. Install the UMANG app from Play Store/App Store.
  2. Open the UMANG app on your smartphone and select your preferred language.
  3. Register your mobile number.
  4. Click on the ‘All Services’ option at the bottom.
  5. Find and select ‘EPFO’ from the list of options.
  6. Click on ‘View Passbook’ to check your EPF balance.
  7. Enter your UAN and click on Get OTP.
  8. Enter OTP and click on ‘Login’. Follow the next steps displayed on your mobile screen.
  9. After this, your passbook and your EPF balance will be displayed on the screen.

Check the balance from the EPFO portal

  • Go to the official website of EPFO and click on the service tab.
  • Now click on the section for ‘Employee’.
  • After that, click on ‘Member Passbook’ and log in by entering your UAN and Password.
  • Now the complete information will be open in front of you.

How to know balance without UAN

  1. Go to the official website https://www.epfindia.gov.in/
  2. From the homepage, select the option Click here to check your PF balance
  3. EPFO page will appear, and after that, the balance of the member will appear
  4. Select your state
  5. Enter EPF Head Office
  6. Enter your business code
  7. Enter the PF account number, name and mobile phone number
  8. Check the box “I agree” in the Acknowledgment box
