Nothing to launch TWS Earbuds under sub-brand ‘Particles by XO’

TWS Earbuds Price and Features: Carl Pei’s Nothing has launched a smartphone and two TWS earphones since its launch last year, and a media report claims that the young company may soon introduce its sub-brand.

It may be called “Particles by XO” mentioned in a firmware developed by Nothing.

The source has also shared some images of the particles by the XO’s TWS earphones and what appears to be their charging case.

TWS can be launched as the first product of the company. However, it is unclear whether “Particles by XO” is the actual name of the sub-brand or if it is something like “Redmi by Xiaomi”.

If it’s the latter, XO will be the company’s name with the particle’s product lineup.

Particles by XO, a new brand of Nothing

It is unclear whether the Nothing offshoot is called ‘Particles by XO’ or simply XO, while Particles is the name of an upcoming audio product.

The name has already been trademarked in the US under a shell company.

While waiting for Nothing to announce this new sub-brand officially, Kuba found some images of the particles by XO TWS earbuds.

The L-shaped form factor means that the body will point upwards when placed in the ear.

The last image shows what could be a puck-shaped charging case for the earbuds.

Overall, the design looks minimalistic and not as “transparent” as the Nothing Ears (1) – which is probably why Nothing wants to launch the earbuds under a new brand.

We have some more essential details about the upcoming Particles XO earbuds. Firstly, the earbuds are codenamed B154, while the Nothing Ears 2 are internally codenamed B155.

Second, the firmware from Nothing’s servers confirms that the TWS earbuds will feature the LHDC low latency high-definition audio codec and ANC active noise cancellation.

So we are probably looking at a premium, fashionable pair of earbuds expected to launch in the US very soon.
