New Metro Introduces Ease Connectivity for Greater Noida to Delhi Travel

Good news for those traveling from Greater Noida to Noida and Delhi! Traveling is about to become much easier.

A new metro corridor is in the works, connecting Sector-142 Metro Station of Aqua Line to Botanical Garden Metro Station of Magenta Line.

The Detailed Project Report (DPR) has been created and submitted for approval. Let’s find out who will benefit from this metro expansion.

What happens after the approval of the DPR?

An official mentioned that once Noida Authority and Greater Noida Authority approve the DPR, it will be presented in the next board meeting of Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC).

Afterward, the DPR will seek approval from the UP government and the Centre.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has prepared the DPR for NMRC, which operates the ‘Aqua Line’ between Noida and Greater Noida.

Which stations will be connected?

The existing Noida Sector 142 station on the ‘Aqua Line’ will be connected to the Botanical Garden station of Delhi Metro.

Botanical Garden is an interchange station for the Blue Line and Magenta Line of Delhi Metro.

List of new metro stations

According to NMRC, the proposed line will be 11.56 kilometers long, costing Rs 2254.35 crore.

There will be eight new elevated stations: Botanical Garden, Noida Sector 44, Noida Office, Sector 97, Sector 105, Sector 108, Sector 93, Panchsheel Balak Inter College, and Sector 142. Notably, Sector 142 metro station already exists.

Benefits for Delhi-Greater Noida residents

Lokesh M. highlighted that this project will enhance connectivity for people in Noida and Greater Noida, linking them to the Delhi Metro network.

Botanical Garden will serve as an interchange station between NMRC’s Aqua Line and DMRC’s Magenta and Blue Line, benefiting all passengers traveling between Noida-Greater Noida-Delhi.
