While electric cars have been gaining attention worldwide and in India, Maruti Suzuki has been relatively quiet in this segment.
However, the anticipation of millions of people for a Maruti electric car will finally come to an end by the end of next year.
eVX Electric SUV: From Concept to Reality
Maruti Suzuki unveiled the concept version of its electric SUV, the eVX, at the Auto Expo earlier this year, announcing its launch in 2024.
Recently, the eVX was spotted undergoing testing, but not in India. Instead, it was seen in Southern Europe, retaining the overall silhouette of the concept version, albeit with some expected modifications.
A Milestone for Maruti Suzuki in India’s Electric Car Market
The eVX marks a significant milestone for Maruti Suzuki as it ventures into the electric car segment in India.
The electric SUV is designed with high ground clearance and short overhangs, promising an impressive driving experience.
Powerful Battery for Extended Range
Maruti Suzuki has revealed that the eVX SUV, in its concept form, will be equipped with a 60kWh battery pack, offering an estimated range of approximately 550 km.
The production version is expected to retain a similar capacity battery, providing a real-world range of around 500 km.
As Maruti Suzuki gears up to introduce the eVX Electric SUV, it is poised to make a significant impact on India’s electric mobility landscape, offering customers an eco-friendly and high-performance option in the ever-evolving automotive market.
