Maruti has released a special version of its offroad SUV called Jimny Thunder Edition.
It starts at Rs 10.74 lakh, and the unique thing is that this special price will only be available for a short period.
The regular version of Jimny begins at only Rs 12.74 lakh. This special Jimny edition, with its lower price, could compete strongly with Mahindra Thar.
Jimny Thunder Edition Variant Prices
The Thunder Edition has some changes in appearance compared to the regular model. It comes in the basic Zeta and Alpha versions.
The Zeta automatic is Rs 11.94 lakh, the Alpha manual is Rs 12.69 lakh, the Alpha manual DT is Rs 12.85 lakh, the Alpha automatic is Rs 13.89 lakh, and the Alpha automatic DC is Rs 14.05 lakh.
Jimny Thunder Edition Engine
The Jimny Thunder Edition has updated designs on the sides showcasing mountains.
Its performance remains the same, as it is equipped with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder K15B mild-hybrid petrol engine, generating a maximum power of 105 hp and a peak torque of 134 Nm.
You can choose between a 5-speed MT or a 4-speed AT transmission.
Features of Jimny Thunder Edition
The Zeta variant comes with electrically adjustable outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs), front and rear wipers with a washer, day and night inside rearview mirror (IRVM), driver-side power window with auto up/down and pinch guard, reclining front seats, a multifunctional steering wheel with mounted controls, a TFT color display, and adjustable headrests for the rear seats. Additionally, it includes front and rear welded tow hooks.
When it comes to other features, it includes appealing steel wheels, a drip rail, and a 7-inch SmartPlay Pro touchscreen entertainment system with wireless connectivity for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The top-tier Alpha variant boasts stylish alloy wheels, door handles in the same color as the body, automatic LED headlights with a washer, fog lamps, tinted dark green windows, convenient push-button start/stop for the engine, cruise control for relaxed driving, a luxurious leather steering wheel, automatic climate control for comfort, and an impressive 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen infotainment system with Arcamis surround sound.
For safety, the Jimny Thunder Edition
It comes with basic safety features like two front airbags, side and curtain airbags, anti-lock brakes, electronic stability program, hill hold control, hill descent control, and a reverse parking camera.
Other features include impact door beam, engine immobilizer, and a three-point emergency locking retractor seatbelt.
