Malaysia to allow Visa-Free Entry for Indian from December 1

Malaysia shared some good news on Sunday. Now, people from India can travel to Malaysia without needing a visa for 30 days.

This means Indians can visit Malaysia for a whole month without a visa.

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim mentioned that the same rules will apply to Indians as they do to people from China.

Malaysia is the third Asian country, after Sri Lanka and Thailand, to offer visa-free travel to Indians.

Before this, Malaysia already provided this travel option to citizens of Muslim countries like Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, UAE, Iran, Turkey, and Jordan.

The Prime Minister mentioned that Indian and Chinese citizens can visit Malaysia without a visa, but they need to pass a security check first.

People with a criminal history or safety concerns won’t be allowed visa-free entry.

Details about this will be shared by Home Minister Saifuddin Ismail. It’s worth mentioning that China has also agreed to a visa-free policy for Malaysians.

However, it will start on December 1, 2023, and end on November 30, 2024.

Anwar expressed gratitude to the Chinese government, mentioning that both countries will celebrate their 50th year of friendship next year.

Malaysia said something important about its friendship with India. The Prime Minister of Malaysia mentioned that India’s help is important in every aspect.

India’s High Commissioner to Malaysia, BN Reddy, shared during a media event that the friendship between India and Malaysia has been strong.

Both nations should continue in a good way.

Their political relationship has lasted for 65 years, and after Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Malaysia in 2015, the friendship between the two countries became even stronger.

I want to share that in 2022, Malaysia was the 11th biggest trading friend of India. The trade between the two countries increased by 23 percent in 2022 compared to 2021.

Starting from December 1, people from India and China can enter Malaysia for free.

Malaysia is doing this to help the economy and attract more tourists. There’s news that Vietnam might also allow people from India to enter without a visa.

Currently, it has announced this for some European countries like Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Denmark, Sweden, and Finland.

Visa free entry for Indians in THESE Countries

Indians can visit some countries without needing a visa.

These countries include Malaysia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Cook Islands, Haiti, Jamaica, Montserrat, Kitts and Nevis, Fiji,

Micronesia, Niue, Bhutan, Vanuatu, Oman, Qatar, Trinidad, Kazakhstan, Macau, Nepal, Barbados,

British Virgin Islands, Dominica, Grenada, Mauritius, El Salvador, Tunisia, and Senegal.
