As a way to reduce costs for the Scorpio-N, Mahindra has made changes to the features in the lower models.
They took away some features from the basic Scorpio-N and added them to the mid-level Scorpio N. Also, a few small features were removed from the Z4 variant.
Wondering which features got removed?
Before, the Z6 variant of Mahindra Scorpio N had an 8-inch screen for the infotainment system with Mahindra’s AdrenoX interface.
This system supported wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, along with connected car features and built-in Alexa with voice assist.
The Z6 also had a 7-inch TFT multi-information display in the instrument console.
Now, instead of the 8-inch screen, the Z6 has a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment unit that supports wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay only.
It no longer has connected car features. The instrument console on the Z6 now has a 4.2-inch monochrome display instead of the 7-inch MID.
The cooled glovebox, which was standard, is now only available in the top-spec Z8 and Z8L variants.
Regarding the powertrain
The new Mahindra Scorpio N comes with two engine options: a 2.0-litre turbo petrol and a 2.2-litre diesel engine.
The turbo petrol engine can produce 203PS of power and 380Nm of torque. The diesel engine offers two outputs: 132PS/300Nm and 175PS/400Nm.
Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic. Some diesel variants also have a 4WD drivetrain.
The cost has also gone up
Mahindra increased the price of the Z6 trim by Rs 31,000. Now, the ex-showroom price of the Mahindra Scorpio N ranges from Rs 13.26 lakh to Rs 24.54 lakh. This SUV competes with Tata Safari and MG Hector Plus.
