Jyotiraditya Scindia announces to resume International Flights from India for 63 Countries

A big statement has come from Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia. He said that from today all domestic and foreign flights have started as per the schedule.

This includes 135 domestic and 15 international flights. Flights were affected for the last 2 years due to the Corona period.

Meanwhile, the Gorakhpur-Varanasi flight has also started. From now on, the compulsion to wear a PPE kit has also ended.

Ban ending after 2 Years

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the ban on regular international flights was imposed in March 2020.

With this, after a long gap of two years, six Indian airlines and 60 foreign airlines have started connecting India with 63 countries today.

Aviation regulator DGCA has published the final schedule for international flights.

International flight Routes

According to the information received, Indian airline companies will operate 1,466 flights every week. This includes IndiGo, Tata Group’s Air India and its subsidiary Air India Express.

Airlines companies hope that this is news of relief for the public. The business will also improve with international flights starting after 2 years.

After this, the countries that will join India include Iran, Yemen, South Korea, Poland, Myanmar, Malaysia, Turkey and Egypt.

Easing many restrictions

From now on, the compulsion to wear a PPE kit is over. Along with this, many other restrictions have also been relaxed.

Now airlines will not have to keep three seats vacant for a medical emergency on international flights.

Security personnel will now check passengers by touching them like before. International flight operations in India were closed from March 23 2020.

It has been banned since the first wave of the Covid pandemic.

After the second wave, the restrictions were further increased. International flights from India will start regularly from today.
