Jio, a telecom company from Reliance Industries, is set to be India’s top brand in 2024, surpassing others like State Bank of India and Life Insurance Corporation.
It’s already a strong brand. According to the ‘Global-500 2024’ report by Brand Finance, Jio was also the strongest brand in 2023.
Globally, Jio ranks 17th among the strongest brands, with a brand strength index of 88.9.
The top spots on the list are held by WeChat, YouTube, Google, Deloitte, Coca-Cola, and Netflix.
LIC and SBI got this place
In the ‘Global-500 2024’ list of strong brands, LIC is at the 23rd position globally, and India’s largest government bank, SBI, is at the 24th place.
Both these Indian brands have surpassed Instagram. The report mentions that many well-known brands like WeChat, YouTube, Google, Marina Bay hotel, Rolex, Bank of China, Swisscom, Chanel, State Grid, and EY are among the top 25 strongest brands in the world.
Jio’s brand value is continuously increasing
Reliance Industries’ Jio began offering phone services in the country in 2016.
Since then, the company has achieved great success and become the largest brand in the phone service sector in the last few years.
The report mentions a 14 percent increase in Jio’s brand value, reaching 6.1 billion dollars. Its brand index score also rose to 89, earning it a top AAA brand rating.
