In a circular, the Postal Department said that people who want to start MIS, SCSS, and MSCC accounts can now do it online.

People can now start these accounts by using the Postal Department’s Internet Banking.

Here are the steps to open these accounts:

Let us explain that the way to open MIS, SCSS, and MSCC accounts is all the same.

1. Start by going to the postal department’s internet banking website.

2. Next, click on the ‘General Service’ tab.

3. Then, click on the ‘Service Request’ tab.

4. Choose ‘New Request’ and click ‘OK.’

5. Now, select the type of account you want to open, such as ‘MIS Account,’ ‘MSSC Account,’ or ‘SCSS Account.’

6. Enter the amount you want to deposit (the sum should follow the scheme’s rules).

7. Select your savings account (linked to your Post Office) for making the deposit.

8. If needed, provide ‘Transaction Comments.

9. Check the box to agree to the terms and conditions.

10. Click ‘Submit Online.’

11. If additional information is required, enter it in the ‘Comment’ box.

12. Set your ‘Transaction Password.’

13. Finally, click ‘Submit.’ Your account will be opened once all the conditions are met, and you can then download and view the deposit receipt.
