Google Renames Bard AI Chatbot to Gemini and launches New AI App

Google, the company known for its search engine, has been working on smart computer programs for a while.

They made a chat program called Bard AI, but now they changed its name to Gemini and made a new app.

They also made a better version called Gemini Advanced, which uses a new technology called Ultra 1.0 LLM.

Google first showed Gemini last December, offering different versions like Nano, Pro, and Ultra. However, they stopped making the powerful Ultra version.

Gemini is Google’s way of competing with another smart chat program called ChatGPT from Open AI. Gemini replaced another smart program called PaLM 2 LLM.

Google wanted to change Bard’s name for a while. A developer named Dylan Russell talked about this on a website called X.

They released a new app called Gemini for both Android and iOS. When people get this app, they can use it instead of Google Assistant.

Once you download the Gemini app, you can use it just like Google Assistant. You can even activate it by pressing the power button or swiping the screen and saying ‘Hey Google’.

Google also made Gemini Advanced. The CEO, Sundar Pichai, said this will cost money.

It can do more things like coding, being creative, giving commands, and thinking logically.

People who pay for Google One AI can use Gemini Advanced for two months without paying extra.

The Google One AI plan costs Rs 1,950 per month after the free trial ends.”
