Bank Holiday list Released for April 2024

March is almost finished and April is coming soon. To make sure customers don’t have any issues, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) shared a list of bank holidays.

April will have many festivals like Eid, Gudi Padwa, and Ram Navami.

In the beginning of the new financial year starting from April 1, 2024, there will be 14 days when banks will be closed.

This includes weekends like Saturday and Sunday, as well as holidays for festivals such as Eid and Ram Navami. Here’s a list of the bank holidays for April:

April 1, 2024: Banks closed nationwide for annual closing.

April 5, 2024: Banks closed in Telangana, Jammu, and Srinagar for Babu Jagjivan Ram’s birthday and Jumatul Vida.

April 7, 2024: Banks closed nationwide for Sunday.

April 9, 2024: Banks closed in various cities for Gudi Padwa/Ugadi Festival/Telugu New Year and first Navratri.

April 10, 2024: Banks closed in Kochi and Kerala for Eid.

April 11, 2024: Banks closed nationwide for Eid, except in Chandigarh, Gangtok, and Kochi.

April 13, 2024: Banks closed nationwide for second Saturday.

April 14, 2024: Banks closed nationwide for Sunday.

April 15, 2024: Banks closed in Guwahati and Shimla for Bohag Bihu and Himachal Day.

April 17, 2024: Banks closed in various cities for Ram Navami.

April 20, 2024: Banks closed in Agartala for Garia Puja.

April 21, 2024: Banks closed nationwide for Sunday.

April 27, 2024: Banks closed nationwide for fourth Saturday.

April 28, 2024: Banks closed nationwide for Sunday.

You can complete your banking tasks through net banking. Banks are important, and even though they have long holidays, you can still manage your banking needs using technology.

You can transfer money between accounts using net banking or mobile banking from home. You can also use UPI for this purpose, and ATM for withdrawing cash.
