Apple Makes Move to Allow Direct Web Distribution of Apps

Apple users and developers have a big issue: they can’t easily download many apps from outside sources.

But now, Apple has some good news! They announced on Tuesday that they’re going to support downloading apps from websites.

This means developers can share their apps directly from their own sites without needing other app stores.

These apps can do cool things like backup and restore stuff, and they can fit well into your device.

Apple is also changing how it supports other app stores in the EU. This will make it simpler for developers to offer their apps through special app markets.

According to info on Apple’s developer site, a new software update will bring this web support to the EU.

Soon, developers can share their apps straight from their sites. They’ll get access to tools that help with backups, fitting into the system, and showing app details online without needing other app stores.

But there are some rules. Developers who want to share their apps from their websites need to be a part of an organization based in the EU.

They also need to be in the Apple Developer Program for two years and have one of their apps get more than one million downloads each year in the EU.

Apple has put some restrictions on this too. Apps need to be approved, and developers agree to only share apps from their own accounts.

They also need to be responsive, have clear privacy policies, and follow EU laws about data protection.

And if a developer chooses this, they’ll have to pay a fee to Apple for big app downloads. It’s about 0.50 Euro (around Rs 45) for every million downloads.
