Amritsar to Malaysia Flight will run 4 Days a Week

From January 1, flights from Amritsar’s Sri Guru Ramdas Ji International Airport to Kuala Lumpur will fly four times a week.

Malindo Airline (now Batik Airline) has announced that their Kuala Lumpur flight will now fly from Amritsar Airport on Sundays from January 1.

This flight used to fly on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday in the first week.

Yogesh Kamra, secretary of Amritsar Vikas Manch, said that, at present, this flight flies three days a week.

He said there is a lot of demand for flights from Amritsar to Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur).

This is why Malindo Airline started flights three times in the first week and has now decided to increase it to four times from January 1.

This flight will provide direct connectivity from Kuala Lumpur to South East Asian countries Singapore, Thailand (Bangkok-Phuket), Indonesia (Jakarta and Bali) and Australia.

He said that nowadays, holidays are going on in the South East and Europe, so many Punjabis living

there want to come to their country, especially Punjab, and pay obeisance at Sachkhand Shri Harmandir Sahib.

Keeping this in view, Malindo Airline has taken this decision. This will benefit not only the people of Punjab but also the people of neighbouring states.

Kamra said it is cheaper to travel by air from Amritsar than from Delhi airport. They have also demanded to make this flight seven days a week.
