Skoda cars enjoy significant popularity among Indian customers, with the Kushaq and Slavia emerging as the most sought-after models.
Recently, Skoda has unveiled updated versions of these two beloved cars.
Enhanced Safety Features
One notable upgrade in the 2024 Skoda Slavia and Skoda Kushaq is the inclusion of standard 6-airbags across all variants.
Previously, this safety feature was limited to the top-spec variants only, with lower variants offering only 2 airbags.
With this enhancement, however, prices have seen a slight increase ranging from Rs 10,000 to Rs 35,000.
Both the Kushaq and Slavia boast a commendable 5-star safety rating, as assessed by Global NCAP.
These ratings are attributed to a host of safety features, including ESC, Multi Collision Braking System, Tire Pressure Monitoring System, Brake Assist, and Traction Control.
Competitive Pricing and Powertrains
In terms of pricing, the updated Skoda Kushaq now starts from Rs 11.99 lakh
and goes up to Rs 19.79 lakh for the top model, while the Skoda Slavia ranges from Rs 11.63 lakh to Rs 18.83 lakh (ex-showroom).
When it comes to powertrain options, the Skoda Slavia offers a choice between a 1.0-litre engine generating 115bhp
and 178Nm of torque, and a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine delivering 150bhp and 250Nm of torque. Both engines are paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DSG gearbox.
On the other hand, the Skoda Kushaq is equipped with a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine producing 115bhp, along with a 1.5-liter engine capable of generating 150bhp.
