Google Wallet App Now available for select users in India

The Google Wallet App is now available on the Play Store for some users in India.

This app helps users keep their credit cards, debit cards, flight boarding passes, movie tickets, and many other documents in digital form.

Users can store all these documents digitally in the Google Wallet app.

It’s been more than two years since this service started in the United States. Now, it seems that Indian users will also be able to use it soon.

Google Wallet visible on Play Store

As per Tech Crunch’s report, Google Wallet is now starting to be accessible for some users in India.

Previously, the Google Wallet app wasn’t available on the Play Store for Indian users.

However, many users in India have shared on social media platforms that they can now download the Google Wallet app directly from the Play Store.

Although the app is listed on the Google Play Store, it cannot be downloaded yet.

Previously, Indian users had to manually download the Google Wallet app APK to use it on their Android phones.

But now, some Indian users are saying that they can directly install the Google Wallet app from the Play Store on their phones and can download it.

Google’s Digital Wallet

Google has not yet made any official statement about launching the Google Wallet app service for users in India.

The Google Wallet app is like a digital wallet provided by Google. You can store various types of digital documents in this wallet and use them whenever you need them.

It used to be quite challenging for people to carry multiple documents together and there was a risk of losing them.

Although services like DigiLock are available in India for this purpose, Google is now preparing to launch the Google Wallet app in India to compete with such services.

In the Google Wallet app, users can manually create digital versions of documents using QR codes or barcodes.

The app can also store credit cards, debit cards, and transit passes, which can be used for contactless payments directly on phones that support NFC technology.
