OnePlus shared some big news! They’re now buddies with App Defense Alliance (ADA) to make their phones safer.
ADA is like a superhero group created by Google that watches for bad stuff like viruses and malware on the internet.
OnePlus says they’re the first company making phones to team up with ADA.
ADA will work together with these companies
In this App Defense Alliance, with the support of Google, ESET, McAfee, Trend Micro, and other companies, they work together to stop bad software.
This helps ADA check for bad software on the internet before it gets to the Google Play Store.
They make sure to talk with Google Play Protect and other ADA friends to find apps that might be harmful.
OnePlus says teaming up with ADA will make OnePlus phones much safer, along with the security features in Oxygen OS.
The new Oxygen OS 14 has cool things like Device Security Engine 3.0, chip-level encryption, Auto Pixelate 2.0, and more.
These features keep your personal data on OnePlus phones private and secure.
When will the new security features arrive?
OnePlus hasn’t shared specific details about how the ADA partnership will work on each phone.
It’s unclear if ADA’s collaboration with Google Play Protect will be a separate feature in future updates for OnePlus devices to enhance their security. More details from the company are anticipated in the coming weeks.
