Ola, a taxi service, now offers electric bike rides in Delhi and Hyderabad. The prices start at ₹25 for a 5 km ride, ₹50 for 10 km, and ₹75 for 15 km.

Ola plans to introduce this service in Bengaluru too and has set up 200 charging stations there.

In the next two months, Ola will have 10,000 electric bikes in these three cities, and they aim to expand across the country by the end of the year.

Hemant Bakshi, CEO of Ola Mobility, said, “After the successful e-bike taxi pilot in Bangalore, we are expanding to create more opportunities for users, drivers, and Ola.

We plan to have a large number of bikes in Bengaluru, Delhi, and Hyderabad, creating a big market for e-bike taxis in India.”

The company aims to deploy 10,000 electric vehicles in Delhi, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru over the next two months, claiming to have the largest electric 2-wheeler fleet in the country.

Bakshi mentioned that using electric vehicles is a significant step towards making transportation more affordable.

Ola has completed over 1.75 million rides and set up 200 charging stations in Bangalore for its electric bike service.
