More and more people are liking Vande Bharat trains these days. Traveling on these trains is becoming a great experience for passengers.
Indian Railways has begun a trial project called Yatri Service Agreement (YSA) to make train services better in Southern Railways.
The goal of this plan is to offer a top-notch travel experience to train passengers by providing extra services. The YSA project is starting in six pairs of Vande Bharat Express trains.
What services will be provided in Vande Bharat trains under the passenger service contract?
To make the YSA project happen, Railways will hire service providers with a proven record in providing food and keeping things clean.
They will place a trained person to clean each coach and check if it’s staying clean.
This way, railway passengers will get assistance like booking cabs, using wheelchairs, and getting buggy rides at the starting and ending stations from Indian Railways.
Indian Railways will provide world class travel experience
Train travelers will get help with things like booking cabs, using wheelchairs, and getting buggy rides at the start and end stations from Railways.
Passengers will also have access to good entertainment on the onboard system, making sure it follows laws about data security, broadcasting, and intellectual property rights.
They might bring these improvements to more trains soon.
Food related facility
Train passengers can order food in advance when booking tickets or using the Passenger Service App.
They can choose from different food options. There won’t be any beef or pork in the food.
There will be a skilled person in each Vande Bharat train to take care of the food and drink services.
What does the contractor have to show?
First
The person in charge should have enough workers who are trained in food and housekeeping. Railways will check their payment and paperwork regularly.
Secondly
There is a large and clean kitchen in Chennai where different kinds of food can be made every day. Contractors need to prove that they have provided food many times before.
Vande Bharat Route
Vande Bharat trains travel on several routes in Southern Railway.
They run on routes like Chennai-Mysore, Chennai-Tirunelveli, Chennai-Coimbatore, Thiruvananthapuram-Kasaragod, and Chennai-Vijayawada. The sixth route is not announced yet.
