Hyundai SUV: Hyundai launches Exter SUV with Muscular look (Bookings open)

Mumbai : Hyundai has officially introduced its much awaited mid-segment SUV in India. Once it’s released, it will compete with other popular vehicles in the Indian market, such as the Tata Punch and Citroen C3.

The SUV is named Exter, which is now available for booking for a token amount of Rs 11,000 ahead of its launch in the coming months.

The company has also unveiled many of the vehicle’s specifications,

including its engine and five different variants.

Engine

The Hyundai Exter will be equipped with a 1.2-litre VTVT NA petrol engine, which is currently used in other Hyundai models like Venue, i20, Grand i10 Nios, and Aura.

However, the engine may be slightly tuned for this car. It can produce 82 bhp power and 115 Nm torque and comes paired with both 5-speed manual and AMT transmission.

Variant and Features

The Exter will come in five different variants: EX, S, SX, SX(O), and the top-spec SX(O), with connected car technology as standard across all variants.

The company is expected to offer the Exter with several exciting features, including a first-in-segment sunroof, 8-inch floating infotainment system, wireless charger, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, semi-digital cluster, and 6 airbags.

Launch Date

The Exter is expected to be launched sometime in July or August, with pricing details only available at the time of launch.

Once it’s released, the Exter will compete with other popular vehicles in the Indian market, such as the Tata Punch and Citroen C3.
