Zomato, a company that delivers food online, has introduced a special service for customers who prefer vegetarian food.
This service, called Pure Veg Mode, is designed for people who only eat vegetarian food.
The founder and CEO of Zomato, Deepinder Goyal, announced the launch of this service on Tuesday (March 19).
Explaining the new service, Deepinder Goyal mentioned that Zomato is introducing a Pure Veg Fleet specifically for vegetarian customers in India.
He also acknowledged the requests from people who wanted such a service in India.
In a post on the social media platform ‘X’, Deepinder Goyal highlighted that India has the highest number of vegetarians globally.
This new service is a result of people’s feedback. He also mentioned that for Zomato’s vegetarian customers, their food will be delivered in green-colored boxes instead of the usual red ones, and delivery personnel will wear green shirts.
Furthermore, Deepinder Goyal emphasized that vegetarian customers are particular about how their food is prepared and delivered.
This service, Pure Veg Mode, has been introduced with these considerations in mind. He clarified that this initiative is not driven by religious or political preferences.
