Zomato has introduced a solution to the problem of change during cash payments.
Customers of this online food delivery platform can now ask the delivery person to add any remaining balance to their ‘Zomato Money’ account.
This new feature allows customers to use the balance for future orders or dining out.
Convenient Cash Payments on Zomato
Announcing the new feature, Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal mentioned on the social media platform ‘X’ that customers can now pay in cash and have the balance added to their Zomato Money account immediately.
He expressed gratitude to Tata Group’s BigBasket for inspiring this solution and thanked Zomato’s delivery partners for their role in its development.
Zomato’s Financial Performance
In other news, Zomato recently reported a significant increase in net profit for the first quarter (April-June) of the current financial year, reaching Rs 253 crore.
This is a substantial rise from the Rs 2 crore net profit recorded in the same period last year.
