The biggest online food delivery service in the country, Zomato, is now offering a special Maternity Insurance Plan as a gift to its female delivery partners.
When they talked about this plan, the company said it will cover the costs of pregnancy, having a baby, and other related expenses for their female delivery partners.
This will make sure they have money to help during the whole pregnancy.
These services will be provided as part of the insurance plan
Explaining this plan, Zomato’s CEO, Rakesh Ranjan, mentioned that they are introducing it to give financial assistance to gig workers when they’re pregnant.
He also mentioned that our delivery partners are essential for the growth of our business.
So, we want to ensure financial protection for our female partners by offering them this insurance benefit.
These services will be offered through the Zomato Maternity Insurance Plan
Zomato and ACKO have come together to offer advantages to female delivery partners through a maternity insurance plan.
This insurance benefit is for female delivery partners who have been part of the platform for over 60 days and have completed more than 1000 deliveries.
This insurance plan will pay for the costs of giving birth to two children, whether it’s a regular delivery or a cesarean section.
Additionally, it also covers issues related to pregnancy like miscarriage or abortion.
The company provides insurance coverage of up to Rs 25,000 for a regular birth and Rs 45,000 for a cesarean birth for its female delivery partners.
In the case of abortion or miscarriage, women will receive insurance coverage of up to Rs 40,000.
