According to WhatsApp Beta Info, the blocking shortcut has been spotted in version 2.23.2.4 of the WhatsApp beta for Android on the Play Store.
You can see the shortcut to block the contact in the shared screenshot. The company will offer this shortcut in the chat option itself so that users can easily block unwanted contacts without opening the chat.
This feature can be handy for those users who get a lot of messages from unknown numbers.
This feature of WhatsApp is still under development, and the company can roll out it for beta testing in the coming days.
Will be able to forward media files with captions
