WhatsApp, the popular messaging platform owned by Meta, is set to provide relief to its users from chat-related problems in the upcoming days.
Recently, a bug-fix update was rolled out for Android Beta to address issues with chat sorting.
The problem caused the chat list to not refresh when a new message was received, resulting in the latest message not appearing on top of the chat.
Previously, the only temporary solution to this problem was to close and reopen WhatsApp.
However, even after doing so, the issue often persisted.
Many users noticed that the update was automatically installed due to Google Play Store’s auto-download settings.
The latest WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.23.16.7 has been confirmed to be a bug-fix update that effectively resolves the chat issue.
With this update, users can use WhatsApp without experiencing the chat problem.
Notably, last week, WhatsApp also released a bug-fix update for Android Beta to address the emoji keyboard crash issue.
Recently, the platform faced a global outage, including India, which lasted for about 20 minutes due to connectivity issues.
During this outage, users encountered various troubles, with 61 percent reporting problems when sending messages, 35 percent facing issues while using the app, and 4 percent experiencing difficulties with the website.
Additionally, there was a global outage last month lasting almost two hours, where some users were unable to use WhatsApp on their mobile and desktop devices, and others encountered problems while sending and downloading media.
With the new bug-fix update, WhatsApp aims to provide a smoother messaging experience for its users and resolve the recurring chat-related problems that caused inconvenience in the past.
