One of these new features lets you control the quality of photos and videos before you send them to someone.
Some people want to make the photos or videos better or smaller before sending them, but they can’t do that on WhatsApp.
This can sometimes fill up your phone with too many big files that you don’t need.
And other times, you might want to see a photo or video in better quality, but you have to use other apps to change it.
Now, WhatsApp is fixing this problem. They’ve started giving this new feature to people who use Android phones.
It’s called “Media Upload Quality,” and you can get it from the Google Play Store. Just update WhatsApp on your phone to get it.
There are two options for the quality of media you can send. If you choose standard quality, the photo or video will be sent quickly and be small in size.
But if you choose HD quality, it will be sent more slowly and could be up to 6 times larger in size.
